The Marumo Gallants coach has revealed what excites him about playing Amakhosi

Marumo Gallants coach Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela is grateful that his team will be facing Kaizer Chiefs in their first PSL game of the season as it will come with playing in front of a big crowd.

Gallants begin the season with a home clash against Nasreddine Nabi’s men with the match at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein already sold out.

While Chiefs are considered favourites to win, Malesela is confident of a positive outcome as he feels playing before a big crowd will act as extra motivation for his team not just on Saturday but for the rest of the season.

Why is it a blessing to face Kaizer Chiefs?

“It is a blessing that we are starting with Kaizer Chiefs which means that the stadium will be packed and what a way to launch the team,” said Dan Malesela.

“It affords us the chance to caution the players and say this is the crowd you are going to have and this is how you must handle them.

“Handling big crowds can be a task, a big challenge, so already they get the introduction in the first game which is a good lesson to all of us at the club and particularly to the players and we have to take it with both hands.”

Experienced tacticians clash in Bloemfontein

Gallants returned to the top flight after buying Moroka Swallows’ status and hope experienced Malesela will lead them to a good finish in the PSL.

Chiefs, meanwhile, are looking to improve on their 10th place finish of last season with seasoned Nabi looking to bring them back to their glory days.
