Mamelodi Sundowns confirm first January signing

Mamelodi Sundowns have officially signed midfielder Jayden Adams from Stellenbosch FC.   

The 23-year-old joins the Betway Premiership champions after a lengthy transfer saga that saw him priced out of a move in the off-season with a reported R30 million price tag.

According to iDiski Times, a club-to-club agreement was reached last week, with the transfer fee potentially reaching R20 million.

Adams has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with an option to extend, keeping him at the club until July 2030.   

The Bafana Bafana star who excels as a defensive or central midfielder, made 139 appearances for his hometown club, contributing nine goals and 10 assists.
