Mamelodi Sundowns are known for always having a squad that include both youth academy graduates and acquired players.
This season, they have more than 40 players in their squad who are competing for 11 places in the starting line-up.
The club’s head coach, Manqoba Mngqithi, has occasionally expressed concerns about the challenges of managing a large and talented squad.
Sundowns made just five signings this transfer window to strengthen their squad. This includes Arthur Sales, Iqraam Rayners, Kegan Johannes, Asekho Tiwani and Kobamelo Kodisang.
They also promoted Malibongwe Khoza and Kutlwano Lethlaku from their DStv Diski Challenge team.
