The Democratic Republic of Congo striker Fiston Mayele has been linked with Kaizer Chiefs for several years.
The 30-year-old has been doing well for his recent teams, with the latest one being Pyramids of Egypt, a side he joined two seasons ago from Tanzanian heavyweights Young Africans SC, commonly referred to as Yanga.
Recently, it was revealed that the Soweto Giants had a massive chance to sign him a few years back, but they turned down the offer. They have, since, struggled to get dependable strikers who can score regularly. Have a look at what the fans are saying.
Stop lying and saying Bobby turned down the deal

Chiefs fans would collapse if Mayele joins Orlando Pirates. The way you guys are so obsessed with him! As if he is willing to leave his current team for Amakhosi – De Crow
Stop lying and saying Bobby turned down the deal. Just tell the truth; Chiefs can't afford him because he is expensive for poor Amakhosi. I'm happy this time around, they didn't blame Mamelodi Sundowns for not affording him – Dropz Maronza Motsepa
To be honest, Chiefs cannot afford to sign Mayele because we are used to their social media signing players – Otsile Dijo
Chiefs are happy with players like Jasond Gonzalez, Ranga Chivaviro and Tashreeq Morris, strikers who don't score goals. Mayele is a goal scorer and Chiefs will never buy him – Thulani Croc-pit Ngwenya
It was Arthur Zwane who rejected him during his trials, he said he didn't see the quality in him and was just like what Chiefs had and they ended up signing Caleb-Bonfils Bimenyimana – Kereemang Othusitse Ngakaemang
Chiefs can't sign expensive players

Mayele is average, Chiefs didn't miss on anything by not signing him. Those players from West and Central Africa are overrated. When they get here, they don't shine in recent years, Orlando Pirates are doing very well without them – Atang Tumeliso
Ever since Bobby Motaung took over, it is been disappointment after another – Sipho Mathaba
Imagine Mayele at Chiefs, what a waste of a career. He should look at people like Christian Saile, Glody Lilepo, and Ranga Chivaviro, they are nothing now – Johnny Shorn
Some Chiefs supporters are always dreaming during the day because their team won't sign expensive players – Sabelo Keith Sithelo
Mayele is a useless player, I know him well. Going to Saudi Arabia does not mean he is a player, it means money. The real players go to European clubs – Christopher Blessings Kamphenga
