Kaizer Chiefs starlet Mfundo Vilakazi has responded to criticism from Amakhosi fans following the team's recent poor run of form.
Despite a promising start under new coach Nasreddine Nabi, the Soweto giants have struggled in recent months, currently occupying seventh place in the league with 18 points from 13 games.
While acknowledging the frustration of the fans, Vilakazi commended their unwavering support throughout the season.
He emphasized that the team understands the criticism and will strive to deliver performances that give the supporters reasons to celebrate.

VILAKAZI SAYS THEY WANT TO GIVE CHIEFS FANS REASON TO CELEBRATE
“Our fans have been brilliant in the way they have been supporting us, and we have been very disappointed on the occasions when results have gone against us,” he told club’s media department.
“We understand their complaints because we want nothing more than to give them a reason to celebrate. We really want to win on Sunday (against Sekhukhune United) to give our fans something to smile about and keep coming back to support us. It means a lot. We just need to keep working hard. The results will come.”
Nabi’s men face off against Sekhukhune United in the Betway Premiership on Sunday, 19 January at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
