Miguel – What Cele, Lilepo & Morris have brought to Chiefs

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel has highlighted the positive impact of January signings Thabo Cele, Glody Lilepo, and Tashreeq Morris on the team.

Miguel believes the arrival of the trio, who joined Amakhosi during the January transfer window to bolster Nasreddine Nabi’s squad, has increased competition within the midfield and attacking areas.

While Cele and Lilepo have become consistent starters, Morris has been sidelined for some matches due to injury.

According to Miguel, the experience these three players bring has significantly contributed to the team's development.

‘IT’S GOOD FOR DEVELOPMENT IN THE TEAM’

“One hundred percent. Not only because of their quality but the competition inside the group you know, with injuries that can happen, suspensions, we had a small squad and with one, two, three players [coming in] it becomes different in practice in games and with Cele, Lilepo, Morris, brings more competition, you know,” Miguel told iDiski Times.

“Our strikers, for example, can’t relax in training because Morris is there and he’s hungry to bring something different.

“Also, Lilepo brings competition for wingers. In the middle, it’s the biggest challenge: who to play now with seven players for two positions.

“So it’s good for training and the development of the players who need to work harder with more competition. It’s good to have a squad like this.”
