Orlando Pirates starlet Relebohile Mofokeng has reacted to being a super sub in the MTN8 final, helping the Buccaneers edge Stellenbosch to lift the trophy.
Questions were asked when Mofokeng was no where to be seen in the starting line-up for the Sea Robbers.
He was brought on late in as Jose Riveiro was throwing everything in the final third seeking a winning goal.
He was introduced late in the match as Jose Riveiro sought to intensify the attack in search of a decisive goal.
Mofokeng contributed significantly by providing an assist for the second goal and scoring the third, leading Ezimnyama Ngenkani to triumph.
While Mofokeng refrained from taking sole credit for his impactful performance off the bench, he emphasized that the starting players effectively wore down their opponents.

WHAT MOFOKENG SAID AFTER HEROICS IN MTN8
“It's not so much they trust me to come in the second half and make things happen but I feel like when I come in, I work for the team on top of the work of the players that started the match. We all worked for the team,” said Mofokeng.
“The players that started are the ones that wore down Stellenbosch for me to come in and do the simple things.
“So yes, I only come in to work. It's not that they trust me to come in from the bench [and score] because I have been starting games and scoring and assisting. So, when you start on the bench, it doesn't mean you won't play, you just have to stay ready.
“I'm grateful to my teammates for helping me score. Tshego [Mabasa] was the one that passed to me so l could score.”
