Jingles has revealed his main wish before he commits to another project

Pitso Mosimane is keen on returning to international football after managing a number of clubs in Africa and the Gulf.

The former Mamelodi Sundows, Al Ahly and Al Ahli Jeddah coach is currently without a job after leaving Saudi club Abha at the end of last season and is weighing his options carefully before committing to his next project.

Mosimane has revealed that he has received several offers to return to coaching but is yet to find one that suits his desires with a national team being high on his list of priorities.

What is Pitso Mosimane’s main wish?

“My wish is to get a national team,” the three-time CAF Champions League winner told The Sowetan.

“I can’t say no to club football, I’m just stating my wish. The question is, what’s there for me to get in club football? Do I want to win the CAF Champions League again? Do I want to coach a team just because they are in the Champions League? Are they going to the (Fifa) Club World Cup (next year)?”

Mosimane is a highly decorated coach who won five PSL titles with Sundowns, as well as the club’s first and only CAF Champions League, before moving to Egypt where he led Al Ahly two back-to-back continental crowns.

He then had a successful one-year stint at Al Ahli Saudi where he returned the Jeddah-based club to the top flight in the 2022-23 season after which he had short stints in the UAE with Al Wahda and then Saudi again with Abha.

Mosimane last managed a national team in 2012 when he was the Bafana Bafana coach, having previously served as assistant, under Bruce Grobbelaar, Carlos Alberto Pereira and Joel Santana.
