Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. has now argued some teams are not ready to help Amakhosi strengthen.
The Soweto Giants have desperately tried to get quality players to help them have a better 2024/25 Premier Soccer League season after an embarrassing 10th-place finish in the previous one.
The team has so far signed Njabulo Blom, Bradley Cross, Fiacre Ntwari, Bongani Sam, Rushwin Dortley, Gaston Sirino, and Inacio Miguel.
Who did Kaizer Chiefs miss?
Recently, Motaung conceded that Khanyisa Mayo and Elias Mokwana were players they were chasing but they failed to get their services.

Asanele Velebayi and Fawaaz Basadien were the other primary targets for the Glamour Boys. Cape Town Spurs claimed Velebayi's valuation was not met, while Stellies refused to let their left-back leave.
Coach Nasreddine Nabi ended up getting Cross from Golden Arrows to strengthen his defense. The Tunisian is hoping to get established strikers to bolster the attacking department.
Are teams sabotaging Amakhosi?
The 43-year-old Motaung now believes some teams are intentionally sabotaging the Glamour Boys. He argues that prices are exaggerated when an interest from Amakhosi is confirmed.
“To be fair, it is the case [that teams exaggerate prices] when Chiefs are interested. There are certain instances where it is market-related,” he told Radio 2000.
“There have been certain instances where we have dealt really well with some clubs who have been realistic and at the end of the day, it is a give and take. Everyone has to place a value on what they think the product is worth.
“Some teams wouldn't want to strengthen Kaizer Chiefs. It is just like that at times, that is why we made the step we made by bringing Tera [Maliwa] into our recruiting department because recruitment is key.”
