Bafana Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba has been spotted training with Mamelodi Sundowns as he’s looking to find a new club having been a free agent for quite some time.

According to FARPost, Mothiba was seen training with Sundowns on Sunday morning. He was among the players that had travelled to DR Congo for CAF Champions League match against AS Maniema.

As he has expressed his desire to play for Masandawana before, the report added that the club and the player’s camp are set to engage in discussions over personal terms.

It appears that the Brazilians are also looking for a striker this transfer window with Peter Shalulile looks set to leave as he’s wanted in Saudi Arabia.

Interestingly, Mothiba has always been clear about his dream to play for Sundowns. Before his move to France, he was part of the Tshwane giants’ development.

MOTHIBA ON WANTING TO PLAY FOR SUNDOWNS

“Before I retire, I want to come and play back home,” Mothiba told FARPost. “In the future, I’d love to come and play for two or three years in South Africa. I’ve spoken to my agent, and everyone agrees. That’s what I’ll do.

“You know my team there in South Africa, where my development took place, that’s Sundowns. I watch almost every game they play because most of my close friends are at Sundowns.”
