The Amakhosi defender is among those buzzing over the return of the midfielder

Kaizer Chiefs defender Given Msimango is excited by the return of Njabulo Blom to the club as he feels the midfielder will add great quality to the squad.

Blom made a sensational return to Chiefs last month on a one-year loan from MLS club St Louis City FC with Amakhosi having the option to make the deal permanent.

There has been excitement among supporters following the re-signing of Blom and Mismango is among those buzzing that he has returned to Naturena.

What does Njabulo Blom bring to Kaizer Chiefs?

“Njabulo [is] a quality midfielder above everything else, a quality footballer obviously and he would not be playing in the American league [if he was not quality],” said Msimango.

“He is back here with us and hopefully he can come in and add to the quality that we already have.”

Blom left Chiefs at the end of 2022 and helped St Louis earn promotion to the MLS but after being one of the regulars, he saw his minutes greatly reduced in 2024, before a disciplinary issue in August saw him sever ties with the club.

The midfielder saw his stock fall at St Louis City FC

Blom was suspended for one match over a violation of team rules but he never returned to the squad again. With his future becoming uncertain, he opted to return to Chiefs where he honed his career.

The midfielder will hope to be involved from the start when Chiefs begin their 2024-25 PSL season away to Marumo Gallants on Saturday.
