MTN8: ‘Stellies to play vs 14 men but Pirates must know ‘VAR FC’ are watching’

Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch are set to play in the MTN8 final to be staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

The Soweto giants are aiming to become the first team to win the competitions three times in a row. Stellies are aiming at winning the tournament for the first time in their history after massive improvement in Mzansi football.

The Buccaneers sealed their final ticket after beating Cape Town City in the semi-final while Stellies defied the odds to get past Mamelodi Sundowns. 

This weekend's final is promising to be an entertaining one for football lovers in the country. Have a look at what the fans are saying.

Stellies will be playing against 14 men!

In the final, Stellenbosh will be playing against 14 men, including the referees –  Prof-Lis Mphela Moloto 

Stellenbosch are capable of winning the MTN8 if our referees are not afraid to make a tough but correct decision when needed against Pirates –  Shane Mayimele
