Amakhosi have been tipped to have a say in the 2024/25 South African top tier race.
Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates are the two teams that have been tipped to challenge for the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League title.
Sundowns have the needed quality across all the departments, while Bucs are on the rise and have finished second in the last two editions.
Last season, Kaizer Chiefs finished 10th in the league which led to massive changes in the technical team. Tunisian Nasreddine Nabi has been handed a two-year deal to help the team get back to the top of Mzansi football.
Why should Chiefs challenge for the PSL title?
The Glamour Boys have made some impressive signings to strengthen their squad. Fiacre Ntwari, Rushwin Dortley, Bongani Sam, Inacio Miguel, and Gaston Sirino have been signed by the Amakhosi management.
According to coach Muhsin Ertugral, those new players and those already at the club are enough to make Chiefs PSL contenders.

“Everybody has an opinion from the outside, inside knowledge is what counts,” the tactician told SNL24.
“What counts is, the technical team has time to prepare as the league starts in mid-September and if you look at what the coach got in terms of new signings, he is happy. He has to be happy. They got the most of what he wanted. If you look at the old players and the new players it's a well-balanced team now and that will make the technical team happy.
“There is time for different concepts to develop and getting to know the ability of what is needed. Hopefully, they will turn it around.
“South African football needs Chiefs to be in the race for the title. If you have Chiefs, Pirates, and Sundowns in the title chase then you know South African football is back on top. You need Chiefs to be among title chasers,” Ertugral concluded.

Are Chiefs done in the transfer window?
Ranga Chivaviro and Christian Saile struggled to get goals last season, with each getting four in the league.
Nabi is still in the market for an experienced striker to lead the attacking department. They have been heavily linked with Pyramids forward Fiston Mayele after failing to land Ashley Cupido, and recently Clement Mzize of Young Africans.
The Soweto giants might still add a few players before the transfer window closes in the next couple of weeks.
