Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is calling for a quick introduction of VAR in the PSL.
Nabi watched his side rescue a point from the jaws of defeat on Wednesday, when Mduduzi Shabalala’s brace earned them a 2-2 draw away to Magesi FC, but the tactician was impressed by some of the calls, which he feels would have gone his team’s way had VAR been in place.
“Obviously we are very disappointed but we have to talk about how the officials are officiating the game,” Nabi told SuperSport TV.

What is Nabi not happy about?
“We believe that it’s more than time that VAR comes into this beautiful league, the PSL because we believe that there was a penalty on [Wandile] Duba, everyone is going to see the images.
“And the second goal they scored it’s a free-kick for us but it becomes a free-kick for them, which gives them the second goal.
“We don’t want to put pressure on anybody, we know the referees are human beings and make mistakes too. But we urge the body officials of the league to bring VAR to help the referees because every time, we feel that we are being punished every game.”
Chiefs survived Magesi onslaught

It is the second time in a month that Nabi is calling for VAR in the PSL after doing the same following his team’s controversial 2-1 league loss to Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of September.
Chiefs had hoped to bounce back to winning ways after back-to-back losses but were 18 minutes away from a third straight defeat after Wonderboy Makhubu and Edmore Chirambadare gave Magesi a 2-0 lead before Shabalala scored twice in one minute for a share of the spoils.
The Glamour Boys will now turn their focus to the Carling Knockout quarter-final against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
