Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has responded to whether Wandile Duba is ready to lead the team’s attack next season.
A dramatic 2-1 victory for Kaizer Chiefs over Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday has fueled their ambition to end a decade-long trophy drought.
Wandile Duba, fulfilling his promise to fans, scored the crucial equalizer after Teboho Mokoena's opener.
Ashley Du Preez then sealed the win, setting up a Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium on 10 May.
During the post-match press conference, coach Nabi acknowledged Duba's talent but questioned his mental fortitude for leading the attack next season, citing concerns about his performance in high-pressure, heavily attended matches.

NABI CONCERNED ABOUT DUBA’S MENTAL READINESS
“Regarding Duba, I think he has a lot of qualities, physical quality, technical quality,” said Nabi as quoted by iDiski Times.
“The only problem that we work every time with Duba is Duba has mental problem. You know younger players when he start to play and with a lot of fans like Kaizer Chiefs, fans is always he’s not 100% ready mentally.
“So, for that we try to work through in that. Last season I think he have a lot of progression to make, and he can make it, if, why not? If he give us solution as a first or second striker next season.”
