Naturena drought ends: Chiefs crowned DStv Diski Challenge Champions!

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs have crowned DStv Diski Challenge champions after defeating Magesi 3-0 on Saturday in a match that was played at the Dobsonville in Soweto.

With an emphatic win, Chiefs have now established a safe lead atop the DStv Diski Challenge standings, securing the title with one match remaining next weekend.

The youthful Amakhosi squad showcased a dominant display, finding the back of the net in each half to earn maximum points and set off jubilant celebrations among the players and technical staff.

Imaam Hendricks, Nkosana Mbuthu and Thulani Mabasa rattled the back of the net to inspire the Soweto giants to a massive victory on the day.

This victory sees Vela Khumalo’s troops crowned as this season's Diski Champions for the first time since the tournament’s inception in 2014.

Chiefs had only won Multichoice Diski Shield in 2018 and 2022. Hoisting the DDC means Chiefs will participate in the 2025 Premier League Next Generation Cup, which Stellenbosch FC have previously won twice and lost once in the final.
