Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Marumo Gallants have leant when their Nedbank Cup semi-final matches will be played.
Pirates will face Marumo Gallants while Chiefs have a tough date with Sundowns and the matches will now be played in the second weekend of April.
Gallants will face Pirates on Sunday April 13 at the Orlando Stadium, with kick off slated for 15:00, looking to upset the holders and advance to the final as they seek to win the trophy they last claimed in 2021.
Meanwhile, Chiefs, who last won the Nedbank Cup in 2013, will host Sundowns on the same day with their clash scheduled to kick off at 18:00.
Who will make it to the final?
The Nedbank Cup represents Chiefs’ only chance for silverware this season but they must overcome a Sundowns team that has beaten them three times already this term for a ticket to the final.
There is the prospect of a Soweto derby in the final, if both Pirates and Chiefs make it, while Sundowns will be hoping to meet the Buccaneers and gain revenge after facing off in last season’s final and losing 2-1 to Jose Riveiro’s team.
Pirates have won the last two Nedbank Cup trophies and are looking for a third straight in what could be coach Riveiro’s final match in charge following confirmation that he will leave at the end of the season when his contract ends.
Tickets for the semi-final will be available at Ticketpro outlets across the country with each retailing for R80.
