Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has been lauded for the impact he has had for the Buccaneers.
Last weekend, the Soweto giants silenced the defending Caf Champions League holders Al Ahly by claiming a 2-1 win in Cairo. The result ensured the Sea Robbers finished top of Group C with 14 points.
The Premier Soccer League outfit ended the phase without defeat; they registered four wins and two draws. Former club's defender Innocent Chikoya believes the Spaniard should be given his flowers owing to what he has achieved since taking over.
Pirates are playing with confidence and everything is falling into place

“We don't just talk, we are putting in the work. We've got another star [Riveiro] on the way,” he said as quoted by SNL24.
“The boys are playing their usual football and enjoying the space they are in. At Pirates, you need to create your own history, and these players are striving to do just that. When you have confidence in everything you do, everything falls into place.
“To go to Cairo, you need to be very brave. So, Pirates are in a good space, and the entire structure is strong. Jose Riveiro is like a father figure. You always hear great things about him. Someone who tries to understand his players. Sometimes, as a player, you end up playing for the coach more than the team.
“It's much easier when you know what the coach expects from you as a player,” Chikoya concluded.
Bucs will be in action on Thursday in the Premier Soccer League assignment against Royal AM.
