Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro is not ruling out more signings in the January transfer window even though he seems satisfied with the players at his disposal.
Pirates have been reported to be weighing up a move for Polokwane City duo Oswin Appollis, who is also wanted by Kaizer Chiefs, and Thang Matuludi as they push for PSL and CAF Champions League glory.
Having seen his side make it to the Champions League quarter-final and remain just three points behind Mamelodi Sundowns in the league, Riveiro knows he will need a deep and quality squad and has admitted the Soweto giants will be on the lookout for possible deals this month.
What is Riveiro expecting?

“I have a fantastic group of players in terms of quality talent, and everybody knows it. But again, all the teams have the responsibility and obligation to keep an eye on the market at all times,” said Riveiro.
“It’s also an opportunity for teams looking for players and for coaches to try to do their best to be more competitive. If not this window, it will be the next one.
“The club is obviously trying to strengthen the team, and it’s a market period now, so let’s see what happens from now on moving forward.”
Pirates also have players set to return from injury such as defender Olisa Ndah and striker Zakhele Lepasa who will add depth to Riveiro’s team in the second half of the season that will determine which trophies they end up with.
