‘Pathetic Chiefs far from title! Vilakazi is overrated, Ranga can’t trap ball, Mashiane don’t deserve a place & bench Maart!’

Kaizer Chiefs sealed their place in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 after an assuring 4-0 win over Free Agents on Sunday at the FNB Stadium.

It was a welcome result for Amakhosi in the Cup outing ahead of their Soweto Derby fixture on Saturday against Orlando Pirates. While the fans are happy with the result, a few have raised concerns regarding some players.

A section of the supporters are not convinced the FNB Stadium is ideal to host the Soweto Derby this weekend.

Average performance from Kaizer Chiefs

We need this spirit heading to the Soweto Derby but we must be this brutal against small teams to respect us –  Prof Blakkie Swart

Average performance but we take the win because such teams gave us trouble in the past. Ranga Chivaviro must go because we become average each time he is on the pitch. Good game by Pule Modi and George Matlou. Happy to see Gaston Sirino back. We need 3 players that are going to pass the ball forward because our boys love back passes –  Mbuso Sibeko

We are going to have a peaceful week before the Soweto Derby. Thank you Khosi for a clean sheet – Ofunwa Fhumulani Phaswana

Small teams wanted to play Kaizer Chiefs because we are an easy target, but on Sunday a message was sent – Phatudi Modiba

Players who can't even trap a ball. Chivaviro can't create a space for himself as a striker while Sibongiseni Mthethwa only passes where he is facing. I don't know what Chiefs fans see in Mthethwa because that boy is too poor for Chiefs' standards. To be honest, these players are pathetic and you can see Sirino is miles ahead of these players – Lufefe Sibewu

Terrible FNB shouldn’t host the Soweto Derby

Great win but disappointed with the state of the FNB Stadium pitch, terrible condition but hoping it will be much better next week for the big one as we shift our focus to the Soweto Derby – Thabang Thomas Phakela

Mfundo Vilakazi is overrated, in most situations of the game he shows immaturity in decision-making. It's just those one or two situations where he makes a good pass or pass through a player and people analyze him according to those situations. Truly speaking as a Kaizer Chiefs fan I will be honest that we are still far away from challenging for any title. We lack quality in most positions and we don't have a sense of urgency during situations in the game, we lose the ball easily when building up our midfielders fumble in most cases – Thandolwakhe Maguba

I'm worried about the FNB pitch. We lost Wandle Duba and now George Matlou, the derby can't be played on a pitch like that. I hope something will be done. Congratulations to the Boys we could have scored more but I'm happy – Mdumiseni Nsele

Happy Mashiane and Ranga Chivaviro don't deserve to play for Kaizer Chiefs – Classic Mosia

Good effort, but Yusuf Maart should be on the bench against Pirates. A captain who neither defends nor attacks is not a Kaizer Chiefs' material – Johnson Drama Shongwe
