Pirates make decision on Nkosinathi Sibisi’s future

Published on by

Orlando Pirates have extended the contract of the defender Nkosinathi Sibisi according to his agent Mike Makaab.

Sibisi’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season.

This comes as Sibisi has been a consistent starter for Pirates, forming a strong partnership with Thabiso Sesane in central defense.

This partnership has been crucial in the absence of Olisa Ndah and Tapelo Xoki, who recently returned from a long-term injury.

Sibisi has been a vital contributor to Pirates this season, featuring in 22 matches across all competitions.

He has also shouldered the responsibility of captaincy in many of these games, given Innocent Maela's limited playing time.

AGENT REVEALS SIBISI’S CONTRACT HAS BEEN EXTENDED

“They've exercised the option. He is exceptionally happy at the club. He has been given the captain's armband. We wait for his opportunity and he has taken it with both hands and that's a hallmark of a professional footballer,” Makaab told Soccer Laduma.

“He does not complain, he works hard and when he gets his opportunity, he does the best that he can. That's what's wonderful about him. He is a top class human being.”
