Bucs are preparing to challenge for the Premier Soccer League as well as perform better in the continental assignments.
Soweto giants Orlando Pirates have further strengthened their squad by signing Stellenbosch captain Deano van Rooyen.
Afrik-Foot confirmed a deal had been reached between the involved parties after Stellies accepted the second bid from the Sea Robbers. The Jose Riveiro-led outfit have now announced the arrival of the established right-back.

He joins Angola international Gilberto and former SuperSport United midfielder Selaelo Rasebotja at Bucs.
Van Rooyen contract details at Pirates revealed
As confirmed by the Buccaneers, the defender will be serving at the club until 2027 with an option to extend his stay.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club Is pleased to announce the signing of Deano van Rooyen from Stellenbosch FC,” the club's media team stated.
“The 27-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Buccaneers, which includes an additional two-year option.
“Die Hond as he is affectionately known, a name that underpins his never-say-die spirit, has served his former club with flying colours, registering over 150 appearances in all competitions.”
What did Stellies say?
“It has been a privilege to watch Deano grow over the last eight years from a young and hopeful talent into a household name in Stellenbosch,” Club’s CEO Rob Benadie said in a statement.
“To see a local player break through the ranks and become a respected leader on the pitch and in our community has been a source of great pride for all associated with the Club.
“While we are sad to see him leave, we are immensely grateful for his contributions and proud of all he has achieved and wish him nothing but success in his future endeavours.”

Why did Pirates sign Van Rooyen?
Last season, the right-back played a crucial role in helping Stellies secure their first-ever major title, the Carling Knockout crown. Since making his breakthrough in 2016, Van Rooyen has been consistent across all competitions.
At Pirates, he will face stiff competition from Thabiso Lebitso, Thabiso Monyane, versatile Paseka Mako, and Bandile Shandu.
Having played for Stellies in the MTN8 game against TS Galaxy, the 27-year-old is cup-tied for the annual competition.
However, he will be available to help Pirates deliver in the Caf Champions League, Premier Soccer League, Carling Knockout and the Nedbank Cup.
