PSL club coach linked with move to Raja Casablanca

A PSL club coach has been linked with a move to the North African side Raja Casablanca to replace Josef Zinnbauer.

Zinnbauer left the Moroccan side at the end of the season after he garnered significant interest from the Arabian gulf.

At some point, he was also linked with DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns after the departure of Rulani Mokwena.

The German tactician Zinnbauer, along with SA coach Fadlu Davids who was his assistant coach, led Raja to a historic campaign.

They completed an invincible season in the Botola Pro and capped it all off by defeating AS FAR Rabat in the Throne Cup final.

Davids also left the side to take over the head coach role at Simba SC in Tanzania along with some members who were with Raja under the leadership of Zinnbauer.

PSL CLUB COACH IDENTIFIED BY RAJA CASABLANCA AS CANDIDATE TO REPLACE ZINNBAUER

The recent reports suggest that TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic is one of the candidates identified by Raja Casablanca to be the next club’s head coach.

Ramovic, who holds UEFA Pro Licence, has been with the Rockets since in 2021. This was his first job as a head coach having been serving as an assistant at Novi Pazar in Serbia.

The mentor, aged 45, has overseen 95 matches in all competitions for Galaxy, achieving 33 wins, 29 draws, and 33 defeats.

A few months ago, Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi commended Ramovic’s capabilities, saying he could even turn a club like Kaizer Chiefs around.

“When he got here [to TS Galaxy], I was told that I've got a plumber, we had two points after eight games and we'll be relegated, why did I bring a plumber – a man with no experience,” said Sukazi as quoted by SABC Sport.

“I said to the journalist on the day, ‘Please listen to me, and listen to me very carefully, the arrival of Sead Ramovic will prove to be a blessing to South African football – you'll thank you later.' I said it, I'm on record. Members of the media were there and can pull that file.”
