The Spaniard is hopeful the Sea Robbers will deliver in this year’s edition of the continental competition.

Orlando Pirates start their Caf Champions League campaign on Sunday with a tricky fixture against Malagasy outfit CS Disciples.

The Soweto Giants will be aiming at getting a positive result in the first leg of the initial preliminary round that will be played at the Saint Pierre Stadium in Mauritius.

The Buccaneers qualified for the annual competition after finishing second in the Premier Soccer League, behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Pirates ready to win every game in all competitions

Bucs coach Jose Riveiro concedes it has not been easy getting information about their opponent and venue,  but all departments have done fairly well.

“It's a challenge [to get information] but I think we did a good job, one more time,” the Spaniard told SABC Sport.

“Every department is really involved in this game and we know and we have enough information about the opponent to face the game and we know about the place where we are going to play, the facilities, the type of grass, all the obstacles that we will find this time to go through to the next round but lack of information is not an issue in this occasion,” Riveiro continued.

The tactician believes his team can deliver in the new season across all tournaments, “Win each and every game, that's our obligation to Orlando Pirates.

“We are going to every competition with the intention to play the final games for each and every game, every three points, every trophy and that's the ambition of the club and we are here to represent the club so there are no minor trophies in our agenda.”

What is Pirates target against CS Disciples?

The second leg will be played on Friday, August 23 at the Orlando Stadium, but Riveiro wants to ensure the job is done and dusted on Sunday.

“We want to win the match, that's all then let's see how the game is presented to us, the opportunities that we will have, the resistance of the opponent but our intention is always the same in each and every game, we wanna go there to play good football, to get a good result,” Riveiro stated.

After the Caf Champions League outing, the next stop for Pirates will be in the MTN8 semi-final where they will play Cape Town City before the Premier Soccer League game against Chippa United on September 14.
