A club from Saudi Arabia has entered the race to secure the services of Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau, who is reportedly on the verge of departing Al Ahly.
Tau is heavily linked with exit with reports suggesting that Ahly head coach Marcel Koller doesn’t want him in his team for next season due to a fallout they had.
Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca and South African powerhouse Kaizer Chiefs are also reportedly interested in acquiring the left-footed player for the current campaign.
Now, according to the Egyptian publication KingFut, Neom Sports Club who ply their trade have identified Tau as their next target with just a few hours before the transfer window closes on 2 September in Saudi.

Neom are said to have arrived in Cairo, Egypt to open talks with the club and the player as they hope to conclude the deal before the window shuts down.
The Saudi club has to now battle for Tau’s signing with Wydad and Chiefs who have been the long-timer admirers for the player.
However, speaking during the interview with SNAWA on Metro FM last week, the former Brighton and Hove Albion man refuted rumours about leaving Ahly.
WHAT PERCY TAU SAID ABOUT REPORTED AL AHLY DEPARTURE
“I am happy at the club. The club is happy with me. Al Ahly is a big club so there will always be reports about every individual. That’s what you have seen there was no official report from the club or myself because we felt these were just rumours,” said Tau.
“When I left the club everyone was just happy to say, go on a break. We are all going on a break, enjoy your time back home,” added Tau.
“Just follow the program, train whenever you can and that’s where we are at. I know my manager spoke to the sporting [director] there and we will see what happens if there is a new contract or if there is no new contract.
“I am not worried, all I wanted was to get a break. We still have enough time to talk about the contract. We have a year right now. But it’s going to be difficult because we have to speak in these six months.”
