Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Hleza Mofedi has heaped praise on club’s defender Thabiso Sesane, likening him to former Tottenham Hotspur centre back Mbulelo Mabizela.
Sesane was a revelation in the Buccaneers last season, securing his position as a regular starter in the lineup.
Alongside Olisa Ndah, he has formed a formidable partnership in defense, which has garnered attention from the national team coach, resulting in a call-up for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Congo.
Mofedi noted that the talent displayed by Sesane evokes memories of Mabizela, who represented the Sea Robbers from 2001 to 2003.

COMPARISON DRAWN BETWEEN MABIZELA AND SESANE
“For me, the player that has impressed the most is Thabiso Sesane, the centre-back,” said Mofedi in an interview with Soccer Laduma.
“He is a quality player who will achieve a lot in his football because he's got age on his side. I like the boy a lot and he seems to be very disciplined and focused.
“The way he is so talented and calm in the way he plays, he reminds me of (Mbulelo) Mabizela.
“He is a good reader of the game, and he knows what he is doing. The boy makes me so happy about watching Pirates, as a former player of the club.
“His combination with (Olisa) Ndah excels, and they make you want to watch the team. In them, Pirates have very good centre-back.”
