Siboniso Gaxa: This is what Kaizer Chiefs need to do to be successful again

Published on by

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siboniso Gaxa has challenged the Amakhosi board to give Bobby Motaung and Jessica Motaung a chance to run the club.

The Soweto giants are now into their tenth year without silverware despite their rich history in South African football. Nasreddine Nabi was brought in at the beginning of the season to help change things but the club has been inconsistent.

However, Gaxa – who played for the Glamour Boys between 2012 and 2016, believes the duo has what it takes to take the team forward.

It is unfortunate that people don't know

“I always think that Bobby should be given the full responsibility – not half, the full responsibility to run the club,” he told Radio 947.

“Bobby is an exceptionally incredible man, it’s unfortunate that people don’t understand and don’t know him.

“If Jessica Motaung and Bobby can be, both of them, given the full responsibility for that club, I strongly believe that they will make exceptional changes and the club will then do well.”

What does the future hold for Kaizer Motaung Jr.?

From his sentiments, it is obvious Gaza is not convinced the Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Junior is the ideal man to run the team.

“I don’t know [who should step aside]. I just want those two to be given those responsibilities. I don’t know who must leave, or I’m sure there are other positions that can be provided to any of the other kids.

“But the dedication that I’ve witnessed when I was at Chiefs from these two it was incredible,” he concluded.
