Kaizer Chiefs skipper Yusuf Maart is convinced Gaston Sirino will deliver for the Soweto Giants after joining as a free agent in the recently concluded transfer window.

The 33-year-old has so far played three Premier Soccer League matches for the Glamour Boys and managed to get two assists and a goal. Having played for Mamelodi Sundowns for seven seasons and won as many PSL titles, the South American has that winning mentality.

Maart has further revealed Sirino is an easy person to relate with which has helped in the cohesion of the squad.

“He’s making a difference in the team and we appreciate it as a team, he’s a happy person, he’s a jokey person and there are times when he’s very serious where work is work.”

Maart has further lauded Majdi Safi who is a Strength and Conditioning coach for his contribution to the Glamour Boys.

“I think what he wants, he puts it out clearly for everyone, for each and every player and the technical team and what he wants, we have to give it to him.”

On Sunday, coach Nasreddine Nabi helped Kaizer Chiefs win their first unofficial trophy after beating Marumo Gallants in the Cufa Cup. The game ended goalless in regulation time before Amakhosi won the penalty shootout 5-4.
