Bafana Bafana defender Siyabonga Ngezana is likely to miss South Africa’s double header against Congo next month due to an injury.
Ngezana has sat out his club’s last three matches and it has now emerged that he has been forced out due to a muscle strain.
As per Romanian outlet Gazeta Sporturilor, his club FCSB confirmed the injury, saying Ngezana will be out for one month, which effectively rules him out of the two matches against Congo, starting with the home clash on October 11, as well as the return leg away four days later.

Ngezana has not featured for the club since returning from international duty early this month as he was named on the bench in their 2-2 draw with CFR Cluj on September 15. He was, however, missing from the squad in the 1-1 draw with Petrolul last weekend as well as Thursday’s 4-1 thrashing of RFS in the Europa League.
Will Bafana Bafana cope without Ngezana?
The defender has been a crucial player for FCSB since joining them from Kaizer Chiefs and began this season with a Romanian Super Cup victory before he played a key role as they qualified for the Europa League group stages.

His absence will be a blow to coach Hugo Broos who has started him at the heart of Bafana Bafana’s defence in their last four games against Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Uganda and South Sudan and was likely set to start against Congo.
Broos named Ngezana in his 32-man preliminary squad for the clash against Congo early this week.
