The African champions will be using the game to prepare for the biennial competition to be held in North Africa next year.
South Africa's Banyana Banyana are set to play the Lionesses of England for the first time in 14 years.
The African heavyweights have been playing high-profile international friendly games in their bid to get better in the game. The game will be played in the next three months in the United Kingdom as confirmed by Safa.
“Coach Desiree Ellis’ charges will meet the Lionesses at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Tuesday, 29 October 2024 in a match that will be part of the African champions’ preparations for next year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, (Wafcon) in Morocco,” the Federation's media team confirmed.

The last time the two countries met was in February 2010, when the Lionesses claimed a 1-0 win in the Cyprus Cup.
‘England game will give Banyana Banyana a different test'
South Africa coach Ellis has welcomed the game, stating it will be perfect for her girls since it will give them a different dimension and approach.
“After the two away international friendly matches against Senegal in June, this is a great opportunity for us as we continue with our preparations for Wafcon,” she told the Safa media.

“It gives us time to prepare well for this challenge to defend our Wafcon title. I’m also excited that the challenge of facing England, the European champions, will test us differently. We hope our fans in the UK will come out in numbers to support us. Lastly, a very big thank you to both SAFA and Sasol for their unwavering support and for getting us this top nation to test us as we continue with our preparations to defend our title in the Wafcon.”
The 2025 Wafcon will be played in Morocco from July 5-26, with 12 teams set to battle for the crown.
