Mamelodi Sundowns extended their Betway Premiership winning streak after they picked up a 2-1 victory over Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday afternoon at the FNB Stadium.
Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Iqraam Rayners found the back of the net for the away side while Ranga Chivaviro scored for Nasreddine Nabi's side.
The first ten minutes of the match were largely controlled by the visitors, who aimed to secure an early goal.
CHIVAVIRO, RAYNERS & RIBEIRO CONTINUED THEIR SCORING FORM
Nevertheless, Chiefs took the lead when Ranga Chivaviro maneuvered into the penalty area and delicately chipped the ball over Ronwen Williams, following a through pass from Reeve Frosler.
In their pursuit of an equaliser, the Brazilians sought to capitalise on the spaces behind the defense, utilising long passes to take advantage of the pace of Iqraam Rayners and Tashreeq Matthews.
Rayners squandered a significant opportunity to level the score, sending the ball wide after receiving a cutback from Matthews.
Sundowns’ relentless efforts finally paid off as Ribeiro scored the leveller in the 31st minute after he was set up by Matthews.

Masandawana came back again and took the lead with Rayners’ controversial goal. His shot from Riveiro's cross found the back of the net past Fiacre Ntwari, despite the Brazilian forward appearing to be in an offside position.
The match reached the interval with Bafana Ba Style leading 2-1.
Masandawana resumed their aggressive approach, maintaining high intensity in their attacks whenever they gained possession of the ball.
Chiefs, on the other hand, were struggling to combine but appeared threatening whenever they advanced into the final third.
Moments later, the Glamour Boys started to pick up as they were looking to get an equaliser. Sundowns’ defence had a busy spell denying the hosts the breakthrough.
CHIEFS DENIED LATE GOAL BY OFFICIALS
Shortly thereafter, the Glamour Boys began to find their rhythm as they sought to level the score. Sundowns' defense experienced a demanding period, successfully thwarting the hosts' attempts to secure a goal.
In the final ten minutes, Chiefs exerted maximum effort in an attempt to penetrate Ronwen Williams' defense. They managed to find the net with a late goal; however, the officials disallowed it, leaving ambiguity as to whether the whistle was blown for a foul or an offside.
