Ime Okon's future with the club’s CEO Stan Matthews hinting that the upcoming match against AmaZulu FC could be his last.
Matthews confirmed that the 20-year-old centre-back has received offers from two unnamed “big clubs” abroad.
It will be remembered that Okon recently returned to the squad after a trial with Ukrainian powerhouse Dynamo Kyiv in early January 2025, and a subsequent four-match absence from the Betway Premiership.
Matthews suggested that if a transfer goes through, the AmaZulu game at Moses Mabhida Stadium might be Okon's final appearance for SuperSport. He didn’t disclose the identities of the clubs that have made offers.

‘IME OKON IS PROBABLY GOING ABROAD’
“We've got Ime Okon, we've got two opportunities for Ime that have come in and both big clubs,” said Stan Matthews.
“So, yes, I anticipate that in the next few days, Ime will probably also be going abroad and that probably tomorrow night will probably be the last game for the club. If everything goes according to plan.”
In addition to Dynamo Kyiv, Ime Okon has also attracted interest from other clubs. Danish side FC Midtjylland had him on trial in January 2024.
