Thabo Cele opens up about settling in at Kaizer Chiefs

Midfielder Thabo Cele has offered his insights into his transition at Kaizer Chiefs, a club he joined at the beginning of the current season.

The KwaMashu-born star made a switch to the Soweto giants in the January transfer window, completing a “dream” move.

Cele’s signing for Chiefs was widely expected with the two parties having been linked for some time.

He has made an immediate impact in Nasreddine Nabi’s team having played just nine matches across all competitions.

‘MY HEART HAS ALWAYS BEEN HERE’

“The environment, the people that I found here, the teammates, the technical team,”  said Cele as per KickOff.

“And also, I think, my heart has always been here.

“So, with me, I have been working for my own individual dreams, but at the same time I think it is something that was always going to happen for me to come here.

“So, I feel good that I'm here and here to try and help the team so that we can achieve our objectives as a team and achieve for the club.

“After this space of observation, thinking and going deep into our own minds and hearts, I feel positive for the next game.

“We are working very hard trying to put in some new things into our game. The objective remains the same, which is to win our games, despite the difficulties that we have faced.

“The positive mind is what we are trying to share amongst ourselves because it is football.

“It is life, you fall and you rise, so that is how we look at it and trying to feed that fire for the next game because we need it.”
