Thapelo Morena identifies Mamelodi Sundowns’ current hurdle

Mamelodi Sundowns star Thapelo Morena has revealed Miguel Cardoso’s team hurdle right now.

While the Brazilians have secured favorable outcomes, their performances have been unconvincing, characterized by a lack of dominance.

The team's goal-scoring rate has experienced a notable decrease in comparison to the early stages of the campaign.

Morena identified a critical concern regarding the team's inability to convert scoring opportunities.

He emphasized that they have been squandering numerous chances, a trend that was clearly evident in their recent encounter with FAR Rabat.

‘WE NEED TO WORK ON OUR FINISHING’

“We need to work on our finishing and convert our chances as much as possible,” said Morena.

“In the first half [against AS FAR Rabat], we had quite a lot of chances and we were know 1-0, 2-0 score is not really a good one in football because anything can change.

“So, unfortunately that’s what happened and yeah. We’ve been working on it and trying to fix it because in the dying minutes of the game is where the teams come to us and try to get something.”

Masandawana will take on Magesi FC on Wednesday, 22 January in the Betway Premiership at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

“The mentality is gonna be the same, the hunger is gonna be the same because it’s how it is in the PSL,” he stated.

“Magesi, we played against them in the final and we didn’t have a good result. We think this week we gonna take a notch up.”
