Following Kaizer Chiefs' 2-1 loss to Golden Arrows, coach Nasreddine Nabi has spoken out in support of Yusuf Maart, who missed an early penalty but later scored the equalizer.

Despite some fans expressing their disappointment with boos after the missed spot-kick, Nabi commended Maart's ability to bounce back.

The Tunisian coach highlighted the 29-year-old's “strong character” and “mental strength” as vital attributes he wants to see within the team.

‘IT SHOWS THE STRONG CHARACTER’

“I think it shows the strong character that he has, coming from missing the penalty and scoring,” the Tunisian mentor stated in his post-match presser as quoted by iDiski Times.

“Also, in the game he was present and that’s the mental strength we need.”

Yusuf Maart has been a consistent presence for Kaizer Chiefs this season, having featured in 26 matches across all competitions. In these appearances, the midfielder has contributed with two goals and three assists.

Looking ahead, the former Sekhukhune United player will be eager to make amends for the team's recent performance when Chiefs face TS Galaxy on Saturday, April 5th.
