The tactician has explained the Buccaneers’ game plan for the first leg clash
Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi is keen to see the Buccaneers score an away goal during their MTN8 semi-final clash against Cape Town City on Tuesday.
Pirates visit Cape Town in the high stakes match and are looking for first leg advantage as they seek to defend the title.
Although he remains confident that the Soweto giants will triumph over the two legs, Ncikazi feels they can make a giant step by scoring and possibly winning away.

“The dynamics of the competition just say one thing that you need to score away from home, it doesn’t guarantee you a win but it gives you an advantage,” said Mandla Ncikazi.
“We are focusing on trying to score, trying to stop them from scoring and then winning the match. I am confident based on what I have seen that we are going to go to the next round though there is still a second leg.”
Pirates are favoured to advance to the final where either Mamelodi Sundowns or Stellenbosch FC await but must get it right against Cape Town who are also looking for a trophy after a huge outlay on players.

Can Cape Town City win MTN8 this season?
Cape Town have been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market, bringing in Alifeyo Sibusiso Ziba, Haashim Domingo, Prins Tjiueza, Lefa Aphane, Elson Sithole, Fortune Makaringe, Kayden Francis, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Carlos do Carmo and Ntsikelelo Ngqonga and Amadou Soukouna.
“We have brought in some interesting players into the mix, so the future is bright. Eric [Tinkler] and I have a clear plan for what we want to achieve this season, we want to compete for everything,” said Cape Town chairman John Comitis told Sports Night Amplified with Andile last week.
“Position four or five is not good anymore, we want silverware. Hopefully this year will be the year where we win things.”
