Orlando Pirates fans and some Kaizer Chiefs supporters have termed Relebohile Mofokeng a better player than Amakhosi star Mfundo Vilakazi.

Mofokeng scored a beautiful goal to break the deadlock during the MTN8 semi-final first leg on Wednesday before Jaedin Rhodes later equalised for Cape Town City.

A good ball lofted over from the defence into the Cape Town box saw the youngster chest it down, waiting for it to bounce before firing a left-footed stunner into the net.

The goal has left supporters of both Pirates and Chiefs delighted and feel he is far much better than his Amakhosi counterpart who has become famous for his trickery on the pitch.

“A bitter truth: Orlando Pirates Relebohile Mofokeng plays far better than our Mfundo Vilakazi,” @SbusisoMhlanga0 posted on X.

Bucs fans feel their teen sensation has no equals

“No one can make me hate you. Relebogile Mofokeng is better than Mfundo Vilakazi,” commented @FootballStage_1.

“We don't have to compare Mfundo Vilakazi to Relebohile Mofokeng, we can enjoy Rele Mofokeng without dragging Mfundo Vilakazi. Please stop the comparison, it's a thief of joy,” said @BSim0.

Some fans believe the teen star has no equals in the PSL.

“Currently Mofokeng is the best player in our league,” commented @Nkullu07.

“Mofokeng is going to be the player of the season. Repost if you agree. Bookmark this post,” shared

Will Relebohile Mofokeng be crowned MTN8’s finest?

Even with Pirates failing to secure first leg advantage in the semi-final, some fans feel Mofokeng will play a starring role.

“Mofokeng is the best player, he is going to be player of the tournament,” commented @skydiver_dk.

The two youngsters have come to prominence following their starring roles in the PSL Reserve League.

Mofokeng was key to Pirates winning both the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup last season and also earned a spot in the Bafana Bafana team.
