Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Lehlohonolo Majoro has advised his former club to emulate Mamelodi Sundowns during the early days of Pitso Mosimane's tenure.
Masandawana appointed Mosimane in 2012 following his departure from Bafana Bafana. They had been trophyless for four years.
‘Jingles' was given time to build his winning team, and the club resisted the urge to sack him despite pressure from fans during difficult times.
He successfully revitalized the club, leading them to multiple league titles and domestic trophies. In 2016, he guided them to their first CAF Champions League success, defeating Zamalek in the final
Majoro says Chiefs must undergo that stage in order to see the return of glory days, emphasising that it won’t be an easy journey.
Majoro believes Chiefs must go through a similar phase to regain their former glory, emphasizing that it won't be a quick process.
He stated that the club shouldn't expect instant results from Nabi, who was recently appointed to turn things around.

WHAT CHIEFS MUST LEARN FROM PITSO’S SUNDOWNS
“I think we can take a step back and see what Sundowns did during the time of coach Pitso Mosimane,” Majoro told FARPost.
“They went on a building phase; it took Pitso one and a half seasons before Sundowns could be the Sundowns we know.
“Kaizer Chiefs also has to undergo that stage because there are no shortcuts in football. You need a coach that will be with you within a certain period of time.
“That will allow the coach to assemble the team that is going to compete and acquire players that are needed within the positions that are missing.
“I’m expecting to see a bit of change with the players that they have signed. I understand that supporters expect instant results. We want Kaizer Chiefs to come back; we want the glory days to come back. It’s going to take time for that to happen.”
