Benedict “Tso” Vilakazi expressed his pride in his son Thato Mohlamme's performance against his former club, Orlando Pirates, in the Nedbank Cup last weekend.
Richards Bay faced off against the Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon, ultimately losing 3-1.
Despite the result, Vilakazi emphasized that his son earned his place in the team and was not given any special treatment. He highlighted Mohlamme's hard work and dedication as the reasons for his inclusion in the starting lineup.
TSO VILAKAZI – ‘I’M PROUD OF MY SON’
“I have to say that I am proud of my son, Thato Mohlamme,” said Vilakazi as per iDiski Times.
“He played against my former club Orlando Pirates and he hit the post! He almost scored, twice! I am very proud of him.

“No one is doing any favours for him. He deserves to play professional football. Well done to Orlando Pirates for advancing to the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.”
Additionally, Vilakazi praised Relebohile Mofokeng for his two assists, which set up Patrick Maswanganyi's brace.
“Relebohile Mofokeng could have played in every generation. He is so good. So consistent. It’s amazing how brilliant he is. He makes the right decisions all the time,” he added.
“Richards Bay let themselves down with their substitutions. They could have equalised if they didn’t rush into substitutions.”
