The Soweto giants have confirmed new roles for the duo after their demotion from the senior team.

Established coach Nasreddine Nabi accepted the Kaizer Chiefs job on condition he come with his technical team.

True to his word, the Tunisian will be assisted by Fernando Da Cruz and Khalil Ben Youssef. Safi Majdi came in as a strength and conditioning coach with Ilyes Mzoughi taking the goalkeeper's trainer role.

There were questions asked regarding the future of former senior team's assistant coach Dillon Sheppard, Arthur Zwane, Muzi Nakukeja and Aubrey Mathibe. However, in his recent presser, Amakhosi's Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. has revealed the new roles for the experienced trio.

“He works with our [junior team], U19, U17, U15, and U13, to be able to provide a blanket training philosophy.' So, his role in time is to spend time with each of these groups to make sure that we have uniformity, and that we can continue our progression and pathway for youth players.

“We have Dillon Sheppard as an assistant to coach Vela [Khumalo] at the [junior] side. He will also form part of the scouting team.” Motaung continued.

We have Muzi Maluleka, who will also be our fitness coach at [junior] level and of course, Aubrey Mathibe will be our [junior] goalkeeper coach.

“So they are part of us, they’re part of the academy, and they are looking forward to next season.”

Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team signed an initial two-year deal with the Glamour Boys, hoping to help them get their mojo back after a nine-year trophyless run.
