Débuts réussis pour les Comores. Invités pour la première fois au Tournoi Maurice Revello (ex-Festival de Toulon), les Cœlacanthes U21 ont démarré en battant la Colombie aux tirs au but ce mardi à Fos sur Mer dans le groupe C (1-1, 5-4 tab).
Tout s’est joué en début de partie avec l’ouverture du score précoce d’Alexis Castillo pour les Cafeteros (5e) et l’égalisation rapide de Zaid Amir, sociétaire du Mans, d’un tir en pleine lucarne pour les insulaires (16e).
Malgré l’absence de leur sélectionneur Hamada Jambay pour raisons personnelles, les Comoriens ont ensuite décroché un point bonus en remportant la séance de tirs au but (5-4 tab). Ils s’emparent ainsi de la 2e place du groupe derrière le Japon, leur prochain adversaire vendredi, tombeur de l’Algérie un peu plus tôt (1-0).
